Bustle
I joined Bustle as video Art Director and got promoted to Design Director for video shortly after. During my time there I designed and oversaw a combination of editorial and branded video content for all of their digital properties including Bustle, Elite Daily, The Zoe Report and Romper.
Here are some examples of a few projects I worked on during my time there.

Digital Show Package: The Search
Brief
The Search is digital series focusing on the efforts of family members and communities trying to find missing immigrants, indigenous women, and women from marginalized backgrounds. A show package that matched the tone of the series was needed.
Proposal
I went with a simplified and texture-heavy design direction, as a nod to the starkness and simplicity found in the different documents used to find a missing person (posters, autopsy forms, official government ID’s, etc). The style is also a nod to the material things left behind by those who disappear that end up symbolizing a person’s life after they’re gone, such as wallet-sized photographs of loved ones, bus tickets, amulets and calling cards.
Below is the animated title sequence for the show, L3rds and Locator ID mocks.

Digital Show Package, Romper
Brief
Romper is a site dedicated to motherhood. For their first video editorial series, Doula Diaries, we focused on different doulas assisting women from all walks of life during their birthing experiences.
Proposal
In this show package, I aimed to celebrate and explore the sense of touch in the context of the human experience, specifically during something so special such as birthing, motherhood, and child care.
I also wanted to explore a more sophisticated style of logo lockups with font explorations and color options.
