Earthworks:
Title Sequence, VICELAND
Earthworks was a show on Viceland that gave artists the opportunity to travel anywhere in the world to create music. Through interviews with experts, local community members and with the artists as our guide, the show spotlights ecological challenges of the region as well as the rich cultural and musical heritage of the place. The show tracks the artist's journey, the revelations that come with it and their experience making music in atypical environments.
Design strategy
Given the environmentalist nature of the show, I proposed a dream-like title sequence that stylizes nature in black and white and takes us on a journey to different places on Earth. Inspired by the powers of ten, this sequence highlights the beauty of our planet while putting into perspective all the journeys that are simultaneously occurring all around us. Merging images and design elements into each other, this piece was my homage to Earth's magic and beauty.
